Lydia H. Roper Home is a 26 suite assisted living community for ambulatory women over the age of 62. The Lydia H. Roper Home was founded in 1921 by Captain John L. Roper in Norfolk, Virginia. Now part of Virginia United Methodist Homes, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, the Lydia H. Roper Home provides an affordable assisted living lifestyle in a comfortable, secure and budget friendly environment which enhances the lives of our residents.

At Lydia H. Roper Home our residents remain active with many social and recreational activities including trips to parks, shopping and other points of interest and a variety of life enrichment events. Our community provides three meals per day along with delicious snacks and additional services including, laundry, weekly housekeeping, 24-hour staffing and scheduled transportation for residents.
